habit - notice the long peduncle of the inflorescence the leaves are pinnately compound

inflorescence (head)- there are usually 8 ray flowers, the ligules of the ray flowers are 3-toothed the involucre of this species is dimorphic (there are two forms of phyllary present); the phyllaries in the inner series are red and long, those in the outer series are green and short.
