leaves and heads--what kind of leaf shape is shown here? head--notice that there are just a few disk flowers in the center of this head;  also notice how long the ray corollas are.  In Gutierrezia texana, both the head and the ray corollas are smaller than those of G. amoena.
habit--G. amoena is a low-growing plant that flowers in late Summer and early Fall habit again--this prairie is full of Gutierrezia amoena!
