Research in the Gross lab focuses on eye development and on identifying the molecular and cellular underpinnings of diseases that affect the eye. Current areas of interest include:
1) Ocular Morphogenesis and Closure of the Choroid Fissure
2) Development and Maintenance of the Lens
3) RPE Formation and Function
4) Retinal growth and patterning
